Two bands from Holland who I've never heard of before, doing a split 7".
Hmmm... two things come to mind. Green leafs and rock and roll?
I can go for this! Needless to say, I was really curious about the band' sounds.
The artwork is primative and sort of artsy, with The Hulk on one side and deformed
looking drag queen soldier/serial killer on the other.
Looking around their websites and so on led to the discovery that these guys aren't
total babes in the woods either. Both bands have it going on in the music department.
Fal-Tor-Voh's 'SX#1' has played a ton of times and I still get excited about music
listening to it. The chorus is cool and cathy with all it's groove.
The breakdown into rocking blues makes the blood run faster and I found myself playing
air guitar and trying to sing along.
The drums are old school, with the heavy use of the symbol. The vocals are clean and strong.
They are all good musicians who have created a really good song which just happens to
be one of the most groovy stoner songs out there. These guys are solid together.
A great song for about any occassion. Toner Low lay out some wicked dark southern rock.
Heavy as hell and completly unrelenting in it's pummelling power.
These guys are doing some trippy stuff with effects here too.
Space sounds, beautiful and slow psychedelic guitar. You can feel the passion in the playing.
This songcan hold it's own with any of heavier Colour Haze's offering, Los Sounds Des Krauts offerings.
Toner Low lay down the grit and groove but they also get psychedelic and spacey.
It's a great rock song with a lot of energy. I highly recommend both songs by the band on this 7".
I just don't think it will be too easy to not like these bands.
The label was started by a couple Toner Low guys so that their songs could be released.
The label is still going on and there are more things coming up.
Fal-Tor-Voh has three massive tracks up for download as well and since I've taken the liberty
to download them I can say for certainthat both these bands kick serious ass.
Both bands can be heavy on the psychedelica as well. Enjoy.
Toner Low + Fal-Tor-Voh - 7" split single [Dutch Demos - revieuw]
stijl: Stonerrock
Alice In Chains/Soundgarden-achtige refreinen zorgen
